Detailed Product Description

Ice Bath Tub with External Chiller

Round Tub · Fabric Wall with Vertical Supports · Buckled Cover · Two Hose Connections · External Chiller Unit · OEM / ODM Project Configuration

Ice bath tub with an external chiller unit connected by two hoses, with a filter and a buckled cover

Product Description

This is a round ice bath tub supplied with a separate square chiller unit. The tub holds the water; the unit circulates water out of the tub, removes heat from it and returns it, so the cold you start with is held rather than lost. The two are joined by two hoses, with a filter canister sitting in the hose line.

The design answers a practical problem. A tub of water with ice in it is cold once, and then the ice is gone. A chiller keeps removing heat for as long as it runs, which is what turns a cold plunge into something you can repeat without restocking ice.

The tub itself stays simple and portable: a broad rounded rim, a fabric wall held upright by vertical supports, and a separate cover that fastens down with webbing straps and clips. The unit is a closed square case with the hose connections on top and a vent on the side.

The setup is offered in two configurations: the tub on its own, or the tub together with the external unit and its hoses and filter. Both are legitimate purchases, and the difference is written down at the order stage so the scope is unambiguous.

This page describes a configurable platform. Tub colourway, unit case finish, tub size, cover arrangement, hose configuration, branding and packaging are all specification items.

Appearance and dimensions follow the approved sample and the approved drawings.

What This Setup Is — and What It Is Not

It is a tub of cold water and a unit that keeps the water cold. That is the whole product.

It is not a heater. The unit is a chiller; it cools water and does not warm it. A project that needs warm water is a different machine.

It is not a medical device and not a therapy device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. We make no claim about what cold water immersion does for your body — only about what the equipment does with the water.

It is also not a fixed catalogue item. The size drawing that ships with this product is titled “dimensions to confirm”, because the final outer diameter, tub height, port positions and unit footprint are settled on the approved drawing for your order.

How the System Is Put Together

Five elements make up the reference configuration, and naming them makes the rest of this page easier to follow.

Element What it is
01 Rounded rim The top ring of the tub; the grip point on entry and exit
02 Fabric wall and supports The tub body, held upright by vertical supports
03 Cover straps The cover fastens with webbing straps and clips
04 Square external unit The chiller, sitting on the floor beside the tub
05 Two hose connections Two tub ports, two hoses, and a filter in the line

Water leaves the tub through one port, passes through the unit where heat is removed, and returns through the other. The filter sits in that route. Because the tub and the unit are separate objects, either can be placed where it suits the room, within the reach of the hose set.

System configuration and hose layout are confirmed on the approved sample.

The Tub: Rim, Wall and Cover

Three details decide how the tub behaves in daily use.

Detail Why it matters
Rounded rim A broad, rounded rim is easier on the hands when lowering yourself in or climbing out — exactly when a secure grip matters most
Fabric wall and vertical supports The wall is a fabric panel held by supports, which is what makes the tub free-standing and packable
Cover with webbing straps and clips A cover does two jobs: it keeps debris out between sessions, and it slows heat coming back into the water when the tub is not in use

Fabric composition, wall construction and the fittings used at each port are confirmed on the approved sample, because they are the parts most likely to be specified differently from one project to the next.

On cleaning: a tub and a water circuit are cleaned to a procedure, not a slogan. That procedure depends on the final materials, so it is stated on the care instructions of your approved sample rather than in a marketing paragraph.

The External Unit

The unit is a closed square case with the hose connections on top and a vent on the side for air movement. It sits on the floor beside the tub and is connected by the two hoses.

Because the unit is an electrical appliance operating next to a body of water, its electrical specification, installation conditions and certification position are confirmed per project. We do not publish figures for these here, and we would be cautious of any listing that does. Ventilation clearance around the case, the distance the unit sits from the tub, and the power available at the installation point all have to be settled with the site in mind.

Electrical specification and installation conditions are confirmed with the approved sample and the site survey.

Safety and Installation

Cold water immersion carries real risk, and it is not a disclaimer paragraph — it is the operating instruction. Please read it as one.

  • Never use a cold plunge alone. Cold water triggers an involuntary gasp and a sharp rise in heart rate and blood pressure in the first seconds of immersion. That response is normal, it is brief, and it is also why a second person should be present.
  • Talk to a doctor before you start if you have a heart condition, high blood pressure, diabetes, epilepsy or any circulatory condition, or if you are pregnant. For some people cold water immersion is not appropriate at all.
  • Children must not use the tub unsupervised, and young children should not use it at all.
  • Start far shorter than you think you need to. Get in, stay briefly, get out. Build up over sessions rather than in one sitting.
  • Get out immediately if you feel unwell — shivering you cannot control, numbness, dizziness, shortness of breath, chest tightness or confusion. Warm up gradually; do not use a hot shower straight away.
  • Keep the water clean, and keep the installation safe. The tub sits on a floor that will get wet, and the unit is an electrical appliance nearby. Confirm floor loading, drainage and the power supply for your specific location before filling anything.

This product is not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and it is not a therapy device. It is a tub of cold water. Any benefit you get from using it is your own experience, not a claim this page is making.

Customisation Options

Every item below is a specification item. The list is deliberately broad, because a project is usually decided by exactly these details.

Item What can be set
Tub colourway Reference range shows three tub styles
Unit case finish Reference range shows three case finishes
Tub size Custom size options, confirmed on the drawing
Cover Cover style and fastening arrangement
Water connections Port positions and hose configuration
Filter Filter arrangement in the hose line
Configuration Tub only, or tub with the external unit
Branding Private label for OEM and ODM projects
Packaging Carton configuration for retail or distributor programmes

Available options depend on the final sample and confirmed order.

Ice bath tub size and appearance options: tub styles, chiller case finishes and custom sizes

OEM ODM design review process for an ice bath tub project

OEM / ODM: From Brief to Order Spec

The design review runs in four stages.

Step Stage
1 Brief — market, configuration, colourway, case finish, size direction and quantity
2 Design Review — drawings, layout and a written specification for your approval
3 Sample Approval — you confirm appearance, fittings and configuration
4 Order Spec — the confirmed specification is recorded and manufacturing follows it

Process and options subject to confirmed order.

OEM and ODM here describe the project enquiry route, not a promise of unlimited variation: the available options, the installation conditions and the supplied-item list are all confirmed against the approved sample and the confirmed order.

Considerations Before You Order

The checklist that ships with this product is a pre-order list, not a packing list. It asks a buyer to confirm five things, and the order is deliberate.

Before ordering, confirm Why it matters
Tub exterior and cover Colourway and cover style are specified per project
Unit case version The case is offered in more than one finish and must match the tub
Two hose connections Fittings and hose length have to suit the layout
Size drawing Outer diameter, height, port position and unit footprint follow the approved drawing
Approved sample The final reference for appearance and dimensions

Confirm configuration before order. A project that settles these at the sample stage does not have to reopen them at the packing stage.

Figures We Confirm, Not Guess

A short list of things this page deliberately does not state, and why:

  • Capacity — how much water the tub holds. It follows the final diameter and height, which are confirmed on the drawing
  • Cooling performance — how far the unit brings the water down, or how quickly. It depends on the unit specification, the water volume, the starting temperature and the room, so a single figure would describe one test rather than your site
  • Temperature settings — we do not publish a target temperature or a settable range
  • Electrical specification — voltage, frequency, power draw and the certification position
  • Dimensions and weight — including the unit footprint and the filled weight
  • Filter specification, and the supplied-item list for each configuration

We would rather hand you an approved sample, a drawing and a written specification than a headline number that will not survive a buyer’s compliance review. If any figure above is a hard requirement for your project, raise it at the design stage and it becomes a defined, testable specification.

About SHEERFOND

Dongguan Sheerfond New Material Co., Ltd. develops and manufactures far-infrared and graphene heating materials, and designs the thermal systems built around them — in both directions. Our low-voltage heating range covers 3.7 V, 5 V, 12 V, 24 V and 36 V architectures, and our cooling programmes apply the same principle in reverse: moving heat out of a surface or a volume of water rather than into it.

Products are manufactured against project specifications with batch inspection records rather than from a fixed catalogue.

Request a Quotation

Send us your target market, the configuration you need (tub only, or tub with the unit), the colourway and case finish, your branding and packaging requirements, your target quantity, and — for a complete setup — what the installation site looks like in terms of power and drainage. We will come back with a design proposal and a sample plan.

Price indication: a setup is quoted per project, because the tub size, the unit specification and the configuration all move the number. Final pricing follows your confirmed configuration, order quantity and destination market.
