This is a graphene heating pad that installs behind the mirror glass. It warms the mirror from the back so the central zone stays clear while you use the bathroom, and it is built to the shape, size and voltage your mirror project actually needs.
It is not a coating, a spray or a fan. It is a flexible layered film that is peeled and applied to the back of the mirror, hidden from the front, and wired to the power arrangement you specify. Because the mirror itself varies from project to project, almost every dimension here is a starting point rather than a fixed number.
The reference sizes below come from supplied samples. Final specifications, power, temperature and certification requirements are subject to approved sample and confirmed order.
A common misunderstanding is that a defogger makes the entire mirror surface fog-free. The wording on our own drawings is deliberately narrower than that. The drawing states “FOG CLEARS IN THE HEATING ZONE … surrounding areas may still mist.”
So the honest description is this: the heating layer keeps a defined area clear, and that area is something you can specify. Areas outside the heated zone behave as they always did. If you are comparing suppliers, this is worth asking about directly — a supplier who promises the whole surface will stay clear is making a claim the physics does not support.
We also describe the layer as moisture-resistant, which is exactly what the drawings say. It is not a waterproof claim and it is not an ingress-protection rating. Those are different things and we do not conflate them.

Note the two entries marked Custom. Those are not gaps in our documentation — voltage and connector are genuinely project variables. The supply architecture of a bathroom mirror differs greatly between a mirror cabinet with an internal driver and a mirror wired to a separate adapter. Publishing a single voltage figure would be misleading for most buyers, so we define it during sample review instead.
The principle is straightforward, and it is worth stating plainly so you can evaluate the design rather than take it on faith.
That third point is the one worth reading twice. Heat transfer through a mirror is not instantaneous across the whole sheet. The heated zone clears; the rest does not. A supplier who understands this will talk about where the clear zone is placed. That is the question worth asking.
Both the main image and the detail drawing show the same five-layer stack, which is a good sign — the explanation is consistent.

Each of these layers is a customisable item too: film, insulation, adhesive and backing can all be adjusted. If your project has a specific humidity profile or a particular mirror substrate, tell us at requirement stage and we will match the build to it rather than force a stock stack onto it.

Installation and electrical connection should follow the confirmed product instructions.
Step four says professional electrical connection and that is not boilerplate. This is a mains-adjacent product installed in a wet room. The pad itself is a low-voltage heating layer, but the connection to the supply is an electrical installation task. We would rather state that plainly than imply that a bathroom mains connection is a DIY job.
Adhesive, lead length and connector type are all specified per project, so the installation sheet you receive is the one that matches your order — not a generic diagram.
This is where a mirror defogger stops being a catalogue item. Mirrors vary enormously — an illuminated round mirror, a rectangular mirror cabinet and an irregular designer shape do not take the same heating element.
